Policy Statement
Congratulations for choosing voice lessons at Uinta Vocal Works. I am dedicated to helping you sing better, not only now, but for your whole life. Learning to sing is progressive, not an all-at-once experience. Establishing new habits takes time, so be patient but work hard. I want your voice lessons to be enjoyable and productive. To get the most out of your training, come to your lessons prepared and on time, practice the things you are learning, maintain a positive attitude, and have fun. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
· I will reserve one week at the end of the semester for one make-up if a lesson must be missed. Additional missed lessons will not be made-up. I have other commitments outside of teaching voice, so my hours are limited. And, of course, you also have limits on your time. Put these things together, and you can see why your lesson time is precious and must be guarded carefully.
· Tuition ($100 per month) must be paid at the beginning of each month. Without payment your lesson time cannot be reserved. I accept cash, check (made out to Kayleigh Bluemel), or Venmo (@Kayleigh-Bluemel).
· By signing up, you are expected to continue lessons through the end of the semester. Quitting mid-semester leaves me with a gap in my schedule which I may not be able to fill, and is unfair to students who may have wanted your lesson time at the beginning of the semester.
· You will be responsible for any incidental expenses associated with your lessons, such as music.
· Communication between students/parents and the teacher will come primarily through Remind. Be sure to accept messages so they you don’t miss out on lesson reminders or other information.
